Fatal Weirton shooting death of Taylor Albert – Obituary.
An investigation is underway following a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning along Elm Street in Weirton, resulting in one fatality. Officers responded to a medical call at 4:50 a.m. when they encountered Jordan Lee Pager, 32, who was allegedly armed.
Weirton Police Chief Charlie Kush reported that an officer confronted Pager, using a taser to subdue him while other officers arrived on the scene. During their search of the residence, they discovered the body of 30-year-old Taylor Albert.
A neighbor recounted hearing police inquiries about Pager’s state, in which he claimed to have been on fentanyl and stated that he had shot and killed his family, indicating that there were deceased individuals inside the house.
Pager is currently detained at the Northern Regional Jail, facing a first-degree murder charge. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities interviewing family members and neighbors to determine the motive behind the incident.
