In Holland, two men lost their lives in a tragic car crash that followed a police pursuit early Sunday morning. The incident began at a Speedway gas station on Washington Avenue, where officers were called in response to a reported fight. As police arrived, a vehicle fled the scene, and gunshots were believed to have been fired from it.
The police initiated a chase, which ended when the vehicle crashed into a tree at the intersection of 32nd Street and South Shore Drive. The driver, 26-year-old Alfredo Mojica-Majin, and his passenger, 21-year-old Bryan Mojica, both sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
