Fatal Cooper City car crash death of Caitlynn Heron – Obituary
A tragic accident in Cooper City, Florida, claimed the life of 23-year-old Caitlynn Heron on Wednesday morning. The crash occurred near Griffin Road and Southwest 90th Avenue around 6 a.m., when the vehicle she was driving crashed into part of a small bridge and plunged into a canal.
Broward Sheriff’s Office officials reported that a male passenger managed to escape the submerged car, but Heron was found dead inside by the Broward Sheriff’s Dive Team. Family members rushed to the scene, grieving the loss of their loved one. Heron’s mother identified her by their matching tattoos, describing her daughter as a hardworking and beautiful young woman with many plans for the future.
The Broward Sheriff’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash. A vigil in Heron’s memory will be held on Friday at 5 p.m. at Geronimo’s in Davie, with friends and family invited to attend.
