Fatal Sedgwick County crash death of Curtis W. Vickers – Obituary.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has reported that 24-year-old Curtis W. Vickers of Wichita has died following a crash on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of 95th Street South and South Broadway Avenue.
Emergency responders discovered three individuals injured at the scene. While one was found in extremely critical condition, he was later pronounced dead. Another person sustained potentially critical injuries, and a third had minor injuries.
Authorities indicated that Vickers was driving a silver Kia Optima south on Broadway when, for reasons not yet determined, he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a brown Chevy Silverado. The two occupants of the Silverado were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
All individuals involved in the crash were reported to be under the age of 30. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
