Emily Strite dies in fatal Jefferson County incident
Fatal Jefferson County incident leads to the discovery of Emily Strite’s remains – Obituary.
Authorities have confirmed the identity of a woman whose remains were discovered over the weekend in De Soto, Missouri, as Emily Strite. Strite, who had been missing since April 12, was reported to have last been seen on foot in the area, with investigators believing she left voluntarily.
On Saturday, a property owner on Frissell Road contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office after discovering skeletal remains. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office used medical and dental records to positively identify Strite.
As of now, the cause of Strite’s death remains undetermined, and investigators are actively working to determine how her remains ended up on the property. The sheriff’s office is urging anyone with information to reach out at 636-797-5515.
