In a tragic incident early Wednesday morning, Kaden Thomas Orr, a 21-year-old from Covington, lost his life in a car crash on Jackson Highway in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Emergency crews were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. after reports of a single-vehicle accident in the 5100 block of Jackson Highway.
According to the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office, Orr was the only occupant of the Pontiac Grand Prix that he was driving at a high speed when he failed to navigate a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. The car struck two utility poles and a fence before coming to a stop. Sadly, Orr sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was closed for about five hours as authorities conducted their investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing, with updates expected as more information becomes available.
