Authorities have confirmed the identity of a motorcyclist who died in a crash in Oceanside over the weekend. The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday when 30-year-old Karl Trayvilla, riding his motorcycle on South Coast Highway, collided with another motorcycle traveling south. Following the impact, Trayvilla fell onto the roadway and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Emergency medical personnel transported him to Tri-City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the incident further.
In a separate incident, another motorcyclist, 47-year-old John Nealis from El Cajon, was killed in Lemon Grove after a car rear-ended his motorcycle at high speed early Monday morning. Nealis was ejected onto the freeway and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are looking into the details surrounding both accidents.
