This incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Muskoka Road 169 in Bala, as Landriault was walking at the time of the collision.
Following the accident, he was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Remembered for his vibrant spirit and kindness, Landriault was a dedicated lacrosse player who contributed to various Simcoe County teams. His former coach, Brian Blanks, described him as compassionate and deeply caring towards his friends and family. Rob Blasdell, who scouted Landriault for the Orillia Junior B Kings, expressed the shock and sorrow felt by many in the community, emphasizing the profound impact Noah had on the lives of those around him.
In a heartfelt tribute, the Orillia Junior B Kings acknowledged Landriault’s infectious energy and passion for lacrosse, stating that his positivity would be greatly missed. The Midland Titans Lacrosse organization also shared their condolences, highlighting his talent and warm personality.
A GoFundMe campaign established in his memory has already exceeded $41,000, reflecting the outpouring of support from more than 400 contributors. The campaign organizer, Monica Smith, noted that Landriault had been working as a bartender at The Kee to Bala and held a full-time position at the Muskoka Sauna Company. The campaign description shared insights into his love for sports, especially lacrosse, as well as his commitment to family and friendships.
The SIU continues to investigate the details of the tragic morning incident. The agency, which operates independently, examines any police conduct that may lead to serious harm or fatalities.
