Fatal N.Y. training incident death of Shane Eyre – Obituary
A constable with the Vienna Town Constable’s Office has died following a medical emergency that occurred during a firearms training session. Shane Eyre, a 29-year-old who had been with the department for three years, collapsed during a Shotgun Operator Course on September 30.
Emergency services were summoned around 4:00 p.m. when Eyre fell during the exercise. Despite immediate life-saving efforts and transport to a hospital, he could not be revived. Eyre leaves behind his mother, father, two brothers, and a sister.
