A suspect has been apprehended following the shooting death of 27-year-old William M. Boggs in Bedford, Indiana. The incident occurred on September 30 around 6 p.m. in the 700 block of I Street, close to 7th Street, where police found Boggs with a gunshot wound in a bathroom. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses at the location provided authorities with details about the suspect and the vehicle that fled the area. A detective from the Indiana State Police later spotted the car traveling east on U.S. Highway 50. With the help of the Brownstown Police Department, the vehicle was stopped, and the 34-year-old driver from Bedford was taken into custody without incident.
According to the Bedford Police Department, a weapon believed to be used in the shooting was found inside the vehicle. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
