Caitlynn Heron dies in fatal Cooper City crash
Fatal Cooper City crash death of Caitlynn Heron – Obituary.
Caitlynn Heron, a woman from Cooper City, tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle accident early on the morning of October 2. Around 6 a.m., the Broward County Regional Communications received reports about a car submerged in a canal at the 8800 block of Griffin Road.
When deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, they discovered that an Infinity G37XS had veered off the road, striking a raised sidewalk and a concrete wall before landing in the C. 11 Canal. While one passenger, identified as Joseph Foster, managed to escape and was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Heron was unable to free herself and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office’s Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
