On Thursday afternoon, a tragic accident occurred in Marlboro County, claiming the life of 63-year-old David Broadwater from Wallace. The Marlboro County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity following the crash on Ebenezer Road, which took place around 3 p.m.
According to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt, Broadwater was driving a 2006 Toyota pickup when he lost control. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, and in an attempt to correct, he overcorrected and veered off the left side, ultimately crashing into a ditch. Broadwater was the sole occupant of the truck.
