James Matthew Martin dies in fatal Hybla Valley hit-and-run
Fatal Hybla Valley hit-and-run death of James Matthew Martin – Obituary.
Authorities have identified the pedestrian who tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident in Hybla Valley, Fairfax County. James Matthew Martin, 57, was crossing Richmond Highway from east to west outside the designated crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. Sadly, Martin was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the vehicle, a Toyota Camry, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. Investigators are currently looking into whether speed or alcohol played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and police urge anyone with information to come forward.
