According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Oubre was riding a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle heading east on South Boulevard when a 2022 Lexus 250 traveling north on Nicholson Drive collided with him. The impact caused both Oubre and an adult female passenger to be ejected from the motorcycle.
Oubre was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash, while the female passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as police work to gather more details about the incident.
