Tamara Towers Parry dies in fatal West Seattle shooting
Fatal West Seattle shooting death of Tamara Towers Parry – Obituary.
A woman was shot and killed in West Seattle on Tuesday afternoon while being served legal paperwork. The victim, identified as Tamara Towers Parry, 57, was fatally wounded by a man as she exited her home with a shotgun.
According to the Seattle Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest Hudson Street and Lewis Place Southwest. The property was in foreclosure and had been sold at auction just two days prior, on September 30. When the two individuals arrived to serve her the documents, Towers Parry came outside with a shotgun, leading to the 40-year-old man, one of the individuals serving the paperwork, firing his handgun and striking her in the torso.
Despite the immediate response, Towers Parry succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Authorities stated that both individuals involved are cooperating with the investigation, and all firearms related to the incident have been recovered. As of now, no arrests have been made.
Towers Parry was a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine and a licensed family practitioner in Seattle. However, she gained notoriety for her involvement in the January 6 Capitol insurrection and had her medical license revoked in 2022 after failing to comply with a mental health evaluation order. Her beliefs were prominently displayed in her home, which caused concern among her neighbors.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
