Fatal Hawkesbury head-on crash death of William Eltherington – Obituary.
A fatal accident near Hawkesbury, Ontario, has resulted in the death of 63-year-old William Eltherington from Saint-Émile-de-Suffolk, Quebec. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m. on County Road 17 in East Hawkesbury Township.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, a vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle. Eltherington was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The other driver, a 34-year-old woman from Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Quebec, sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive after being airlifted to a regional trauma center. The investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
