The Danville Police Department has confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred on October 2. Tyree Rafael Brandon, 29, has been charged with second-degree murder, as well as for using a firearm in the commission of a felony and discharging a firearm in public to cause injury.
The investigation began when officers conducted a welfare check around 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Fagan Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Azra Jermann Keene in the driveway, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Despite receiving life-saving treatment and being transferred to a medical facility, Keene ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
