A tragic incident unfolded in the Longwood neighborhood of the Bronx when a 29-year-old woman was fatally stabbed inside a deli. According to police reports, the stabbing occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Jose Mini Mart, located on Southern Boulevard between East 149th Street and Avenue St. John.
Authorities stated that Gwendolyn Guyton was critically injured from stab wounds to her neck and chest and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this case.
The deli’s manager described the suspect as a woman in her twenties, dressed in a green hoodie and blue sweatpants, who fled the scene on a scooter. While police continue their investigation, no specific suspects or persons of interest have been identified.
