Fatal Austin shooting death of Hannah Kang – Obituary.
Austin police have confirmed the identity of the woman who died in a tragic murder-suicide incident in Northwest Austin. On September 24, at approximately 12:16 p.m., emergency services received a call from a family member seeking a welfare check for Hannah and her husband, Youree Kang, at their residence on Diehl Trail. The caller mentioned she hadn’t heard from either of them in over a day.
A follow-up call at 1:13 p.m. revealed that the concerned relative had arrived at the couple’s apartment, but received no response at the door, even though their vehicle was seen parked outside.
When officers responded to the scene at 2:33 p.m., they entered the apartment and discovered both individuals deceased.
Investigators later identified the couple as 25-year-old Hannah Kang and 34-year-old Youree Kang. According to police reports, evidence indicates that Youree took the life of Hannah before ending his own.
