Fatal Pittston Township fire death of Ryan Bergstresser – Obituary
The coroner has confirmed the identity of the victim from a deadly fire that occurred in Pittston Township on Wednesday night. Ryan Bergstresser, a 52-year-old man, tragically lost his life due to inhaling toxic fumes from the blaze.
The fire erupted around 6:00 p.m. at a mobile home situated on Decker Lane. According to Lackawanna County Coroner Timothy Rowland, Bergstresser was unable to escape the flames after his home caught fire. Firefighters were able to extricate him and attempted resuscitation efforts; however, he was pronounced dead later at the hospital.
