A tragic single-vehicle accident in Port St. Lucie has claimed the life of 32-year-old Samantha Folk. The incident occurred on Saturday evening on Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway.
According to police, the crash took place around 5:40 p.m. when Folk was driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee at a high rate of speed. As she traveled north on Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway, she lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with a concrete utility pole located in the median.
Folk was ejected from the Jeep, which suffered significant damage, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The police closed the roadway for several hours to investigate the crash.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
