Scott Hockenberry dies in fatal Clearfield County car crash
Fatal Clearfield County car crash death of Scott Hockenberry – Obituary.
A man from Houtzdale lost his life Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in Gulich Township, according to Clearfield County coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder. The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Scott Hockenberry.
Reports indicate that Hockenberry was driving near Route 153 and Viola Pike when he allegedly veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a pickup truck. Tragically, he was declared dead at the scene by authorities.
There has been no confirmation regarding injuries to any other individuals involved in the incident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Earlier, officials had indicated that the coroner was dispatched to the site of the multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Viola Pike and Route 153. PennDOT’s 511 alert page indicated that Route 153 is currently closed between Allmens and Janesville Road, as well as Fernwood Road.
