Fatal Washington D.C. shooting death of Teresa Francisco – Obituary
Teresa Francisco, a 53-year-old woman, was shot and killed in a domestic incident on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast D.C. The suspect, identified as 48-year-old Wyatt Michelin Swan, has been arrested in Prince George’s County and is facing first-degree murder charges.
The shooting occurred around 1 p.m. at the Hilltop Apartments along Eastern Avenue. Police report that Francisco was shot multiple times and managed to run into a parking lot, pleading for help while wearing only a white t-shirt and underwear. Emergency responders found her inside a vehicle, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the shooting was premeditated and that the victim and the suspect were in a romantic relationship. Swan will undergo the extradition process to return to D.C. to face the charges against him.
