State police from Dunmore have identified 23-year-old Ryan Ayers, a motorcyclist from Luzerne County, who was tragically killed in a crash on Saturday in Spring Brook Township. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Springbrook Avenue, just west of Kilmer Road, when Ayers collided with a pick-up truck while navigating a right curve in the road.
According to authorities, Ayers’s motorcycle struck the oncoming pick-up truck, resulting in a severe collision. Despite the efforts of first responders to resuscitate him, Ayers was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 21-year-old man from Ashley, was reported to be unharmed. Following the crash, a portion of Springbrook Avenue was closed for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation.
