Nelson, a 33-year-old man from Aberdeen, was struck and killed by a city bus on Thursday morning, October 10, 2024, near Ocean City State Park in Grays Harbor County, according to the Washington State Patrol. The accident occurred around 7 a.m. as the bus traveled north on State Route 115, where Nelson was standing in the road. He died at the scene. The 62-year-old bus driver was unharmed, and authorities are still investigating whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
