Fatal El Monte shooting death of John Garcia – Obituary
John Garcia, a 35-year-old man, was shot and killed early Saturday at a sports bar in El Monte. The incident occurred around 12:09 a.m. on the 10700 block of Lower Azusa Road, close to El Monte Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Officers were alerted to the scene and, upon entering the bar, found Garcia on the ground with gunshot wounds. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the location.
Authorities also reported that a woman, injured in the same shooting, was taken to the hospital before officers arrived. Her current condition is unknown. Additionally, witnesses mentioned a third victim, also a woman, who left the scene before law enforcement arrived. Investigators are working to find her.
