Joseph Mastromatto dies in fatal Hatfield crash
Fatal Hatfield crash death of Joseph Mastromatto – Obituary
Joseph Mastromatto, 35, of Hilltown Township, was identified as the pedestrian who was fatally struck in a collision on Sunday, October 13, in Hatfield, Montgomery County. According to the coroner’s office, Mastromatto died from blunt impact injuries, and the death was ruled accidental.
The crash occurred around 6:19 a.m. on North Broad Street, where Mastromatto was found lying face down in the roadway. A 2013 Mercedes Benz SUV, traveling westbound, struck him after he entered the road from the eastbound side. The driver immediately stopped and remained at the scene. Despite efforts from Volunteer Medical Services, Mastromatto was pronounced dead. The Hatfield Police Traffic Safety Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
