Fatal St. Paul shooting death of Nicholas Sletten – Obituary
On Monday night, October 14, 2024, 42-year-old Nicholas Sletten from Little Canada was fatally shot in St. Paul’s North End. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death but have yet to make any arrests.
The incident occurred near Jackson Street and Wheelock Parkway at around 9:30 p.m., after a 911 caller reported the shooting. Responding officers found Sletten with gunshot wounds and provided first aid until paramedics arrived and transported him to Regions Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have not connected this case to another recent shooting in the area, where 28-year-old Riccardo Fleming was killed just two days earlier, though both homicides remain under investigation.
