Serafettin Oklu dies in fatal Tottenham shooting
Fatal Tottenham shooting death of Serafettin Oklu – Obituary
Serafettin Oklu, 41, was fatally shot on Tuesday, October 15, in Tottenham. The incident occurred on Waltheof Gardens, with emergency services responding around 9 a.m. Sadly, Oklu was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police arrested 56-year-old Mahmut Sahindal, who has been charged with Oklu’s murder. Sahindal, who has no fixed address, was also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He was apprehended on the same day.
Sahindal was set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on October 17, but the case has now been transferred to the Old Bailey, with a hearing date yet to be determined. A post-mortem examination for Oklu is still to be scheduled.
