The death of 49-year-old Charles McLain, a business owner from Old Hickory, is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
McLain had last been seen heading to his business on Bridgeway Avenue on Sunday, October 13, 2024, driving his black Ford Fusion. His phone was later discovered in a field off Sells Drive. McLain, who was diabetic and required medication, was found deceased in Mobile, Alabama, two days later on Wednesday, October 15, 2024. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
