Fatal Boise shooting death of Lucas Alleman – Obituary
Lucas Alleman, 43, has been identified as the man shot and killed by Ada County Sheriff’s deputies on October 15 at the Optimist Youth Sports Complex in northwest Boise. The Ada County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity on October 16, stating that lifesaving measures were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident began when deputies responded to a report regarding Alleman, who was a suspect in a felony sex crime case. As officers approached, he allegedly failed to comply with their commands and made suicidal statements. According to the sheriff’s office, Alleman then drew a handgun, prompting two deputies to discharge their weapons.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, Alleman was declared dead on-site. In accordance with department policy, the deputies involved have been placed on administrative leave as the Boise Police Department leads an investigation into the shooting.
