Fatal Fresno high-speed chase crash death of Mang Yang – Obituary.
Mang Yang, 25, and Eliza Yang, 18, were tragically killed when an SUV crashed into their home in Fresno on Wednesday night. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar and Nevada Avenues while the two women were asleep inside.
The crash was the result of a high-speed pursuit initiated by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC). The driver of the SUV lost control, veering off the road and crashing into the occupied residence.
An uncle of the victims shared the harrowing detail that the SUV penetrated their bedroom, where the sisters were resting. The home is shared by eight individuals.
Authorities have taken the driver of the SUV into custody, and a GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with funeral expenses. Friends and family plan to hold a candlelight vigil at the home on Thursday night at 7 p.m. to honor the victims’ memories.
