Fatal Wise County crash death of Phillip Jacob Pennartz and Tina Marie Pennartz – Obituary.
Phillip Jacob Pennartz, 58, and Tina Marie Pennartz, 54, both lost their lives in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 287 in Wise County on Saturday night. The crash occurred around 9:17 p.m. when the driver of a 2016 Hyundai Accent, 25-year-old Emily Marie Pennartz, lost control on a curve, crossed the median, and collided with a southbound 2020 Toyota Camry.
Two passengers in the Hyundai, Phillip and Tina, were pronounced dead at the scene. Emily and her 6-year-old son, Trace Pennartz, were injured and airlifted to hospitals in Fort Worth.
The driver of the Toyota, 36-year-old Bryan James Rahm, along with two passengers, 40-year-old Adam Lynn Brooks and 38-year-old Carlton Mancuso Sherman, were also injured and transported to hospitals in Denton and Dallas. Their current conditions are unknown. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and authorities have not indicated whether charges will be filed.
