A single-vehicle accident in Pemiscot County has claimed the life of a 21-year-old man from Kennett, identified as Tyler S. Hightower. The tragic incident took place early Thursday morning, October 17, around 5 a.m. on Highway 84, located one mile west of Hayti.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Hightower was driving a 2018 Dodge Charger when he lost control of the vehicle, veering off the right side of the road. The car struck an embankment before overturning. Hightower was pronounced dead at the scene by Pemiscot County Coroner Brian Irions at 5:30 a.m. Authorities noted that Hightower was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.
