Fatal Fannin County car crash death of Chiranjeevi Sivaa Rajaneni – Obituary.
A tragic head-on collision in Fannin County on Monday evening claimed the lives of five people and left one person critically injured. The crash occurred around 5:55 p.m. on State Highway 121 near Country Road 4165, when a 2022 Mercedes-Benz AMG attempted to pass in a no-passing zone and collided head-on with a 2016 Hyundai Tucson traveling northbound. Both vehicles erupted in flames following the impact.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the three occupants of the Mercedes-Benz who died at the scene as 30-year-old Chiranjeevi Sivaa Rajaneni, 30-year-old Gopi Thirumuru, and 27-year-old Haritha Reddy Degapui. The sole survivor from the Mercedes, 30-year-old Saisuhas Reddy, was airlifted to a hospital in Plano for treatment.
The driver of the Hyundai, Daniela Rodriguez from Oklahoma, along with her passenger, 64-year-old Maria del Carmen Santiz-Lopez, were also pronounced dead at the scene.
The condition of the lone survivor is currently unknown, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
