Fatal Crowley shooting death of Travis Trentel Thorne – Obituary
A shooting on Friday night in Crowley has claimed the life of 41-year-old Travis Trentel Thorne. The incident took place on Dejean Circle, where Crowley police responded to reports of gunfire in the 600 block.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Thorne on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his neck, torso, right forearm, and wrist. Despite emergency responders’ efforts to save him, Thorne was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have named 30-year-old Johnus Lambert as a suspect in the case. Reports indicate that Lambert was involved in a fistfight with Thorne prior to the shooting. Following the incident, he allegedly fled the scene in a silver 2011 Nissan Maxima.
