Vance Cohen dies in fatal New Baltimore car crash
Fatal New Baltimore car crash death of Vance Cohen – Obituary
Authorities have identified 29-year-old Vance Cohen of Hudson as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Greene County on Thursday, October 17. The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Route 54 in the town of New Baltimore. Cohen was a passenger in a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 43-year-old Evan Kravitz, also of Hudson.
According to Greene County Sheriff Capt. Joel Rowell, Kravitz lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and struck several trees. Cohen was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kravitz has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired by drugs. He was arraigned in the Town of New Baltimore Court and is currently being held at the Greene County Jail without bail.
Several emergency response teams assisted at the scene, including the New York State Police, New Baltimore Fire Department, Coxsackie Ambulance, and Greene County Paramedics. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
