Fatal Ross Township pedestrian crash death of William D. McClendon – Obituary
William D. McClendon, 61, has been identified as the man who was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing McKnight Road in Ross Township on Friday night.
Ross Township police responded to the scene around 9 p.m. near the Red Roof Inn and InTown Suites, between Nelson Run Road and Babcock Boulevard. Deputy Chief Brian Kohlhepp stated that McClendon was crossing the southbound lanes when he was hit. No other injuries were reported.
Southbound traffic on McKnight Road was closed while police conducted their investigation, with northbound traffic reduced to one lane. The incident is still under investigation.
