Fatal Pennsylvania stabbing death of Benjamin Brallier – Obituary
A Pennsylvania state police officer has tragically lost his life after being stabbed along a public cycling trail in Moon Township. On Monday, October 22, local law enforcement was notified of an injured male near the Montour Trail just before 3:00 p.m. When first responders arrived, they found 44-year-old Benjamin Brallier suffering from a stab wound.
He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Following the incident, authorities charged 25-year-old Anthony Quesen, a resident of Pittsburgh, with the crime. He is currently held at Allegheny County Jail, awaiting arraignment.
The Pennsylvania State Police expressed their sorrow over the loss of Officer Brallier, who served for over 20 years as a Liquor Enforcement Officer. Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris described him as an exemplary officer and a devoted husband and father.
In response to this tragedy, the Montour School District cheer team has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support Brallier’s family, which has already raised over $13,000. Another fundraising effort to provide meals for the family has garnered more than $2,800 as of Tuesday afternoon.
