Murder charge for Nicole Dugar in connection with the fatal stabbing on a CTA bus
A woman has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing incident aboard a CTA bus in Chicago on Friday, October 18, 2024. The victim, a 49-year-old man, was involved in an argument with 43-year-old Nicole Dugar while traveling on the bus in the 200 block of South Cicero Avenue. During the altercation, Dugar allegedly drew a knife and stabbed the man in the chest.
The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Dugar fled the scene but was arrested by police on Monday in the 0-100 block of South Cicero Avenue. She faces one count of first-degree murder and an additional count related to the strong probability of death or injury.
Dugar is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
