A woman identified as Jessica Madore, 44, lost her life on Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle on East Broadway in Louisville. The incident took place around 8 a.m. in the 1100 block of East Broadway, as reported by the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
Authorities noted that Madore was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound while she was outside a marked crosswalk. First responders declared her deceased at the scene. The driver involved remained at the location and fully cooperated with the police.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is leading the investigation. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
