Fatal Durham shooting death of Alton Antonio Wall – Obituary
Authorities have identified two men involved in a tragic shooting that occurred during a family gathering in Durham County on Friday night. Alton Antonio Wall, 59, from Hillsborough, was reported to have shot Gregory Lee, 62, from Durham, during an argument at a residence on Edsel Road shortly before 10:30 p.m. Witnesses indicated that after shooting Lee, Wall turned the gun on himself.
Gregory Lee succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Alton Wall was transported to a local hospital where he later passed away. Both men were known to each other, as confirmed by witnesses.
The bodies have been sent to the N.C. Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies to ascertain the official causes of death. According to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, no charges are anticipated in this case, and officials have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
