Fatal Riverdale shooting death of Arron Neal – Obituary
Authorities are investigating the shooting death of Arron Neal, a 25-year-old man from Chicago, whose body was discovered in the Kickapoo Woods Forest Preserve on Wednesday. The Cook County sheriff’s police responded to the scene after receiving a request from the Forest Preserve Police Department for a death investigation.
Neal was found with multiple gunshot wounds around 2 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the location. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has ruled his death a homicide.
Neal resided on the 7100 block of South Oakley Avenue in Chicago. Investigators are continuing their inquiries and are urging anyone with information to reach out to them at 708-865-4896.
In a separate incident, a Calumet Park man named Chevelle Carter, 32, was shot and killed on October 19 in Chicago. Carter was targeted by two assailants who fled in a vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after being taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Additionally, sheriff’s police are conducting a death investigation following the discovery of an unidentified body in Ford Heights on Thursday afternoon. The authorities responded to the scene at Woodlawn Avenue and 15th Place at about 1:30 p.m. and are asking anyone with information to contact them at the same number, 708-865-4896.
