Fatal Town of Nichols motorcycle crash death of Calvin H. Pierce – Obituary.
A serious motorcycle accident occurred in the Town of Nichols, resulting in the death of a 63-year-old man. The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office reported that the crash happened on Monday evening around 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of West River Road and the Tioga Downs entrance. The motorcycle, occupied by Calvin H. Pierce from Barton and his passenger, Carla R. Pierce, was struck by a car.
Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle upon impact and were transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Calvin Pierce was later pronounced dead, while Carla Pierce remains in critical condition. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and charges against the car’s driver are pending, although their identity has not yet been disclosed.
