Salinas police have confirmed the identity of a motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a vehicle collision on Thursday. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Laurel Drive and Maryal Drive, marking the second deadly crash in Salinas within a week.
Authorities reported that 34-year-old Danny Garcia from Salinas was riding his motorcycle eastbound on East Laurel Drive when a Honda driver made a left turn directly in front of him while heading south on Maryal Drive.
Garcia sustained fatal injuries in the crash, while a passenger in the Honda was treated for minor injuries. Police stated that impairment is not believed to be a factor in this incident.
