Fatal Essex pedestrian accident death of Edward Ryan – Obituary
Edward Ryan, 35, was fatally struck by a vehicle on October 23, 2024, in Essex, Maryland. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when officers were called to the 1000 block of Eastern Boulevard for a crash involving a pedestrian.
Preliminary reports indicate that Ryan was attempting to cross the road, just west of Old Eastern Boulevard, when he was hit by a 2023 Kia traveling westbound. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
