Fatal St. Louis County crash death of Frank Ratliff and Steven Shoden – Obituary
A devastating accident in St. Louis County on Thursday morning resulted in the deaths of two individuals. They have been identified as Frank Ratliff from Angora and Steven Shoden from Virginia.
The crash occurred in the vicinity of the 9100 block of Biss Road, just west of Britt, Minnesota. According to witnesses, the two pickup trucks were traveling in opposite directions on Biss Road when the eastbound truck, driven by Ratliff, veered onto the shoulder, overcorrected, and collided with the oncoming vehicle.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is conducting the investigation, with support from the Minnesota State Patrol. Responding agencies included the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Pike Fire Department, Gilbert Fire Department, Virginia Ambulance, and Life Link air medical services.
