Kevin L. Ward, a 67-year-old man from Easton, was killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday, October 20, at the intersection of Freemansburg Avenue and 7th Street in Northampton County, as confirmed by the county coroner’s office.
The Northampton County Coroner reported that Ward died from multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death has been ruled an accident. Involved in the crash was a 24-year-old man from Nazareth, who was driving the second vehicle and sustained serious injuries, requiring hospitalization.
According to police, the Volkswagen Jetta was traveling west on Freemansburg Avenue when it collided with a Volkswagen Passat heading south on 7th Street. The crash led to the closure of the roadway for approximately seven hours as authorities conducted their investigation, which is still ongoing.
