Patty Ann Shields dies in fatal Greensboro pedestrian accident
Fatal Greensboro pedestrian accident death of Patty Ann Shields – Obituary
Patty Ann Shields was killed early Thursday morning, Oct. 24, 2024, while attempting to cross South Elm-Eugene Street in Greensboro, North Carolina. Police reported that around 5:30 a.m., Shields was struck by a vehicle as she tried to cross the street outside of a crosswalk.
Responding officers found Shields at the scene, where she was pronounced dead. Greensboro officials confirmed that neither speed nor impairment appeared to be factors in the accident, though the investigation remains open.
