Robert Carl Roberts dies in fatal Charles Mix County car crash
Fatal Charles Mix County car crash death of Robert Carl Roberts – Obituary
Robert Carl Roberts, a 94-year-old resident of Wagner, South Dakota, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday, west of Wagner. He was a passenger in a 2021 Subaru Outback involved in the accident, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
Investigations are ongoing to determine if Roberts was wearing a seat belt at the time. The incident happened as the Subaru Outback, traveling west on SD Highway 46 alongside a Peterbilt semi-truck, attempted a U-turn and was struck by the semi.
The driver of the Subaru sustained serious injuries that are not life-threatening, while the semi-truck driver was unharmed. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash.
